We are proud to share that Le Dauphiné Libéré has published an article highlighting Open Rescue, our AI-powered solution dedicated to finding missing persons in natural environments.

This media coverage not only showcases the real-world impact of our technology but also the human and collaborative effort that brought it to life.

Born from a close partnership between AI specialists and the SDIS 74 teams, Open Rescue is now transforming rescue missions. With a training database of over 18,000 aerial images, our AI can locate missing persons in just minutes—where traditional searches could take hours.

The article highlights the dedication of Paul Vandame, co-creator of the solution, who developed the algorithm capable of identifying a human figure hidden in dense forests or mountainous terrain. His work reflects a shared commitment: using technology to assist rescuers and victims with greater speed, accuracy, and reliability.

The SDIS 74 has played a crucial role in this journey, enabling real-world testing and deploying the AI-powered “rescue case” in the field. This collaboration exemplifies the synergy between technological innovation and operational expertise.

The article also explores the potential for wider deployment, with the goal of making this solution available to more rescue organizations across France and beyond.

We extend our sincere thanks to Le DauphinĂ© LibĂ©ré for this recognition, and a special appreciation to journalist Justine Richard, along with everyone working to advance meaningful and life-saving technologies.i que toutes les personnes qui Ɠuvrent chaque jour pour faire avancer les technologies utiles et humaines.
